Best Walking Pad for Working From Home | Honest Review | Simply Linda Lee

Working from home definitely has its perks. I spend less time commuting, which gives me more time for the things I enjoy. I have an endless supply of delicious coffee at a fraction of the coffee shop price, and best of all, I get puppy cuddles between meetings.

The downside? Working from home also makes it incredibly easy to work longer hours. Before I knew it, my workdays were stretching well beyond eight hours, and "me time" was becoming harder to find.

When I first set up my home office, I invested in a sit-stand desk. Standing during the day helped relieve my back pain and kept me more focused. But over time, I found myself using the standing feature less and less. I was falling into a routine of sitting all day, and my workouts became less frequent.

Then I noticed something interesting. A few of my teammates were using walking pads during meetings. It immediately made sense. If I'm already spending hours sitting or standing in meetings, why not spend some of that time moving?

In typical Linda Lee fashion, I dove into research. I compared dozens of walking pads, read countless reviews, and made a list of my must-haves. I wanted:

  • An incline option

  • A model that worked on carpet

  • Something lightweight enough to move when needed

  • A reliable machine that would last without breaking the bank

After a lot of research, I decided on the FINEHORSE Walking Pad Treadmill https://amzn.to/4pKfdpt, and I couldn't be happier with my choice.

My goal is simple: if I can walk during at least one meeting each day, I consider it a win. During a good week, I average 10–12 miles Monday through Friday. It's amazing to think I can fit that much movement into my normal workday when I'd otherwise be sitting at my desk.

On lighter meeting days, I'll even increase the incline for an extra challenge—and wow, does it make a difference!

People often ask me, "How do you walk and talk at the same time?" The answer is...sometimes I'm a little out of breath! And yes, I definitely work up a sweat. Thankfully, my client encourages healthy habits and has been incredibly supportive. They actually applaud my ability to lead meetings while keeping a steady pace—and, perhaps even more impressively, without tripping!

Since buying my walking pad, I've recommended it to coworkers, friends, and family, and they've all been happy with their purchase. For me, it has been one of the best investments I've made for my health. It wasn't the most expensive piece of fitness equipment I've ever considered, but it has become one of the most used because it fits naturally into my daily routine.

A quality standing desk is the perfect companion to a walking pad. I purchased my desk from Costco several years ago, but it's no longer available. I researched several current options and found this one to be a great alternative with excellent reviews, a spacious work surface, and smooth height adjustments. Sometimes improving your health doesn't require finding another hour in your day. It simply means making better use of the hours you already have.

So, if you've been thinking about adding more movement to your workday, consider taking your next meeting on a walking pad.

Come walk with me toward a healthier future—one meeting at a time.
